London Chinese Food Festival 2018 & JiangXiaoBai Tasting Event

London's annual Chinese Food Festival has the reputation of “The Ultimate Guide to the Tip of the Tongue.” From August 31 to September 2, over hundreds of authentic Chinese delicacies were provided by more than 20 merchants at the Tower Bridge. The festival successfully attracted thousands of people from across London.

Among them, the famous Baijiu brand “JiangXiaoBai” from Chongqing came to London with a craze. It is not only a new star of sorghum wine but also a dark horse in the mixed drink world, rejuvenating the passion and vitality of youth. As a distributor of JiangXiaoBai liquor in the UK, Interlink Direct Ltd was fortunate to participate in the exhibition together. Every day, the people in front of the booth were full of enthusiasm. After drinking cocktails prepared using JiangXiaoBai, Chinese and foreigners were all in love.

Besides, Interlink Direct Ltd also held the “The Renaissance of the Old Flavor” tasting event in Bun House Tea Room, London. Many major Chinese restaurants and supermarkets in London participated. JiangXiaoBai is a light-flavor Chinese baijiu, the fruity aroma and sweet aftertaste bring freshness and coolness to the classic cocktail practice. The on-site bartenders paired with classic cocktail recipes to bring a new taste experience and rave reviews.
2018 "JiangXiaoBai"'s trip to the UK is well-received, as the director for the International Department of JiangXiaoBai said: "Looking forward to an exciting future for JiangXiaoBai in the UK!"

We are a well-established, high-quality food and beverage importer and distributor based in London, UK. We source a wide range of quality products and supply to both large and small Oriental Supermarkets, Cash & Carry outlets and retailers throughout UK and Ireland. Our UK office is in Essex, with ambient warehouse and frozen. The company has an annual turnover of £14 million.

Forced work, through mental or physical threat;
Being owned or controlled by an employer through mental or physical abuse of the threat of abuse;

Our Policies On Slavery and Human Trafficking

We are committed to ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking in our supply chain or in any part of our business. Our anti-slavery policy, together with our honest and ethical behaviour, reflects our commitment to acting ethically and integrity in all our business relations. We also implement and enforce effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains.

Due Diligence Processes for Slavery and Human Trafficking

As part of our initiative to identify and diminish any area of risks, we have in place systems and procedures:

We will review current conditions and states of our supply chain
All employees are encouraged to notify if they have any concerns that slavery and human trafficking is taking place.
We carry out a variety of checks and reviews to ensure that suppliers we engage with have sufficient capability and capacity to comply with our policy.
Where possible we build long standing relationships with local and abroad suppliers and make clear our expectations of business behaviour.

Further Steps to be Undertaken

Following the overall review of the effectiveness of measures we have taken to ensure there is no human slavery or trafficking taking place in our supply chain, we intend to take the following further steps to combat this.

Training will be developed and provided to relevant member of staff
Certain suppliers may be asked to produce a statement or report, setting out steps they have taken to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in any part of their business. We may request this where we see certain parts of our supply chain has an increased risk of slavery or human trafficking.

Interlink Direct is excited to be one of the official sponsors of the 2016 China-Britain Chinese New Year Extravaganza, to celebrate the arrival of the Year of Monkey with all the families and friends from all over the UK.

This event will be held in the evening of 7th Feb 2016, which is the Chinese New Year’s Eve. This is the 4th year of such annual event and it marks the very first collaborated event between the Cross-Strait China Culture Communication Foundation, UK Chinese Dance & Culture Association, and the UK-China Economics and Cultural Promotion Association, supported by the Chinese Embassy in the UK. The variety show aims to promote the cultural exchange between the Chinese and British and to bring the most authentic Chinese New Year traditions to the UK, offering Chinese expats, British Chinese and Chinese overseas students living abroad a warm sense of being home away from home.

This performance features a fascinating mix of Chinese, British, Russian, and Indian artists, singers and children group performers covering a number of intriguing programs, including Chinese Dragon and Lion dance, Chinese Monkey Dance, Chinese Kung Fu, traditional Chinese dance, folk music and talk show.
